Pen and Ink Drawing by Jeff Starr

Midnight at High Noon

One of my favorite relatively recent drawings, Midnight at High Noon was sketched out in a laboratory clean room with sterile markers and particle-free paper. The white noise of the ventilation system and lab instruments combined with full-body clean-room attire makes it easy to forget self and really dive into the act of drawing. Good times.

Skeletal X-Ray

Vertebrae X-Ray 01

Scanned image from an original, full-size x-ray of the upper vertebrae and torso region of a patient in 1992. Delivering meds to the local hospital while driving taxi in the Summer of 2003, I convinced the radiology staff to fetch me a few choice x-ray scraps. They hesitantly obliged, and delivered into my chunk collection a sweet portfolio of around ten high-quality x-rays. Stay tuned for others in the collection.

Passive-Aggressive Assload

Retentively Disposed

It gets might hot in those old, stinky taxi cabs driving around a desert wasteland in the sweltering summer heat. After dropping off a few mutants at the bar, I took advantage of some cool shade, parked the car and illustratively expressed my emerging desire for a proximal latrine.

Perishable Thoughts

Smooth Christmas

Things seem to be going much smoother for the Holidays this year. Last year, we moved into our new house on Christmas eve, so much of the season was spent packing, unpacking, cleaning, and dealing with several feet of snow and sub-zero temperatures.

Some Fresh Content

Ugh! Seems I have been waay to busy lately working on my other projects. Decided to finally bite the bullet and take some time to post a couple new gems here at Perishable.biz.

Twitter Burst

Today I mentioned this site on Twitter and enjoyed a nice little burst of Twitter traffic. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and checked things out. Things are functionally in order here at the site, but the number of fresh chunks in the archives may leave some feeling a bit underwhelmed.
